Agricultural Products Certification Programme to Jordan

To safeguard consumers and protect public safety, the Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) requires regulated agricultural products to demonstrate compliance with applicable Jordanian standards and approved international equivalents prior to shipment. 

The APCP strengthens market controls on imported goods while enabling smoother and more predictable customs clearance. For products covered under the programme, certification must be issued in the country of export before shipment. Noncompliance may result in customs delays, financial penalties, or rejection and reexport of goods.

APCP Requirements for Jordan

• Every consignment containing regulated agricultural products must be certified under APCP prior to shipment 
• Certification is mandatory for Jordan Customs clearance 
• Certification confirms compliance with relevant Jordanian standards and import conditions 
• Jordanian authorities may conduct verification sampling at the point of entry 
• All regulated products fall under the APCP scope unless specifically exempted 

How to Arrange an Inspection

• Contact your local Intertek office 
• An Intertek export consultant will review your shipment requirements and provide a quotation 
• Submit required export documentation (RFC form, test reports, packing list, letters of credit, etc.) 
• Intertek will arrange inspection and/or verification activities 
• If results are satisfactory, certification will be issued prior to shipment, supporting smooth customs clearance in Jordan

Product Requiring a Certificate of Conformity

Every consignment of regulated goods exported to Jordan requires a CoC for clearance at Jordan Customs. The following regulated products from their respective Countries of Origin shall comply with the Jordan Essential.
